FORMAT & PRIVACY

Know what you’re exporting

Your unit letterhead

Uses the retained Department of War seal, centered Company address in regular 8-point text, compact header spacing, Arial body, flush wrapping, and blank signature space. The records-number field is omitted as requested. This is your unit-template convention; review any difference from AR 25-50 with local correspondence guidance before official use.

Your words remain yours

The builder formats what you enter. It cannot verify facts, approvals, appointments, authority, or regulatory compliance. It does not generate claims or connect to an AI service. Do not enter classified, CUI, or sensitive personnel data.

Downloads and signing

Word requests Arial 12. The PDF embeds Liberation Sans, a metrically compatible font, for consistent output. Word may paginate differently, so review both exports. The PDF’s transparent, unsigned signature field is above the printed name. Sign in your approved PDF application; browser viewers may not support signing.

Draft storage

Text stays in memory unless you choose “Save draft on this device” or export it. A device-saved draft is stored in this browser, without encryption. Other people using the same browser profile may see it. “New memorandum” clears it. The hosting provider receives ordinary page and asset requests; your memorandum text stays in this browser.
